How to Become a CASA
- Complete application process below
- Criminal background check
- Be interviewed by a CASA staff person
- Complete 40 hours of training
- Be sworn in by a judge
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Pass criminal background check
- Sincere care for the well-being of children
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Available to attend court hearings for the children
- Commitment to CASA program for at least 1 year
Option 1 - Complete and submit all of the following forms online
Volunteer Application - Complete and submit online
Social Media Policy - Complete and submit online
Confidentiality Agreement - Complete and submit online
Volunteer Preference Form - Complete and submit online
Volunteer Pledge - Complete and submit online
Volunteer Fingerprint Registration - Complete and submit online
The last 2 forms must be printed out, completed, and returned to us. You can scan and email to either slawson@casaoftroupcounty.org. You can also drop them by or mail them to us at our address at the bottom of this page.
Volunteer Contract - This form must be printed out, completed, and returned to us.
Criminal Background Consent - This form must be printed out, completed, and returned to us.
Option 2 - If you prefer NOT to complete the above electronic applications, print these forms, complete them, and return them to us.
